March 20th - Wildflowers of the Appalachian Trail: A 2,000-Mile Floral Parade 6:30-7:30
Leonard M. Adkins, who has hiked the entire Appalachian Trail five times and is known as “The Habitual Hiker,” will present Wildflowers of the Appalachian Trail: A 2,000 Mile Floral Parade. The multi-media presentation follows the progression of the flowers from late winter to fall, and from Georgia to Maine. With stunning photographs by Joe Cook and Monica Sheppard, the book that this program is based on received the National Outdoor Book Award and Foreword magazine’s Book of the Year Award. Accompanied by classical, folk, and new age music, the program not only identifies the flowers, but reveals the story behind the names, the role a flower has played throughout history, and its value in folkloric as well as modern medicine.

March 21st - New Series by Lark & Sky Farms! Part II: Planting, Care, & Common Mistakes 2:00-4:00. You’ve planted the seed — now let’s help it thrive. $40
Rooted: Rooted: Planting, Care and Common Mistakes is the second workshop in our three-part beginner gardening series, designed to help you build confidence so you can move from “I hope this works” to “I actually know what I’m doing.” This class is all about caring for your garden as it grows, understanding what your plants are telling you, and building the confidence to troubleshoot along the way.
Perfect for beginners or gardeners who’ve had mixed success, this workshop focuses on the middle stage of gardening — when plants are in the ground but questions start popping up.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
How and when to water (and how to tell if you’re overdoing it)
Simple fertilizing basics without being overwhelmed
How to read plant stress signals before it’s too late
Common garden problems (yellow leaves, slow growth, pests) and what to do about them
Easy, sustainable habits that support healthy growth all season long
What to Expect:
A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere
Clear, practical guidance you can use immediately
Time for questions and real-life scenarios
Take-home tips to keep you growing with confidence
You don’t need a green thumb — just curiosity and a willingness to learn. Whether you joined us for Part One or are jumping in here, this workshop will help you feel more grounded, capable, and connected to your garden.
✨ This is Part Two of a three-part series, but each class stands on its own.
